There are actually two types of Pregnancy Tests; one uses urine, while the other involves the collection of an antibody in blood. Both pregnancy test detects the presence of this hormone known as human chorionic gonadotrophin (hGn) in your blood. This hormone is created by the placental organ shortly after fertilization and then builds up quickly in your body during the first few weeks of pregnancy. If it is positive then you have become pregnant, but if it's negative then you haven't been pregnant yet. So which one to use?

The first thing to understand is that both urine and blood tests are completely different from each other. When you are performing urine tests, you will be looking for the presence of hGn in urine samples. On the other hand, when you perform blood tests, you will be looking for the antibodies to hGn in the blood sample. The main difference between a urine and blood tests is that urine tests can usually detect hGn in your urine, whereas blood tests cannot detect hGn in your blood.

When you are considering urinalysis and blood tests, there are many factors that determine the right one for you. You will have to think about the time period when you are going to be tested, and also how often you will be tested. The amount of hGn that is present in your blood is also a consideration; it may be beneficial to have an antibody test at the first sign of hGn in your blood compared to a urine test. A urine test requires that you have a small amount of urine collected and then have the results of the test confirmed by a laboratory. In some cases, there is also a possibility that you may get false positive results from a urinalysis or blood test. It is important to remember that the results will only confirm the presence of hGn in your blood, not your urine.

There is also another type of test called a blood test which can detect hGn in urine as well as your blood, but this test has been found to be somewhat more difficult to administer. This test does not require a lab to confirm the results and it also doesn't involve collecting a large quantity of urine. This test can be very helpful for someone who is going to become pregnant in the near future. The first test is considered to be more accurate than the second, because it is easier to get positive results, since the levels of hGn are not as high. Most importantly, it is quick and easy to perform as opposed to urine. You don't have to take any special preparation for it unlike with urine tests.

Although urinalysis and blood tests are both useful in determining the hGn level in your blood, there are also other ways to determine whether you are pregnant or not. You can try asking your partner about the hGn level in his/her urine or blood, if he/she has had the same level as you have. If this level is high, you may still be pregnant and not have to seek further testing. You can even do a blood test yourself at home with a home kit. However, if the hGn level is low, then you must visit your doctor to confirm the pregnancy. If you think you might be pregnant then you should see your doctor and go for an ultrasound.

Understanding how to interpret the results of a pregnancy test is important so that you can choose the best pregnancy test to choose depending on the results. This is very important especially if you want to be able to monitor your pregnancy and have better chances of conception.
